Training Methods

Throughout the pandemic, it has not been possible to be physically present in the workplace. This has forced us to transform the formats of our training, focusing on three formats in 2021.

Virtual

• Virtual training involves adapting the classic in-person training to a programme of Teams-style meetings. The trainer and participants connect to the virtual meeting on a specified date and time and training takes place synchronously.
• The advantage of this format is that it preserves interaction between users, both among colleagues and with the trainer. It is the best format when practice is needed to develop skills and when it is important for the trainer to be on hand to answer questions there and then.
• The remote training in our catalogue is focused on leadership and negotiation skills, alongside personal productivity courses, such as Getting Things Done and the 7 Habits of Highly Effective People.

Online

• While we have provided online training in the past, we expanded our range in 2020, adding corporate training such as anti-fishing and the Roca Group Business System (RGBS).
• The online format makes it possible to reach numbers of people in a short period of time. For example, the RGBS training has reached over 1100 people from 39 countries in 5 months.
• One of the biggest advantages for participants is that they can view online content wherever they want and whenever suits them best.
• We have focused on short units (under 10 minutes) to ensure the content is easy to digest.

Blended

• Blended learning combines online training with virtual sessions.
• The main benefit is that it means the majority of the training can take place online at the student’s own pace, with the benefit of specific virtual sessions with the trainer for asking questions and clearing up doubts.
• This format is used for technical training in Excel (three levels with two classes) and skills like giving and receiving feedback, having a positive influence and assertiveness.

Online, virtual and blended training are here to stay and their use will grow further over the coming years. As always, our goal is to ensure RGCU can provide training tailored to meet the needs of the Group.
