“As we do every year, we would like to tell you about the RGCU projects and programmes that took place during the year and highlight some of the key figures for training across the Group. This year, however, we have also included a new analysis of the formats used for training (in person, online and blended learning) and in which areas they are being used.
In 2021, RGCU undertook its first exercise to identify training needs for the Roca Group, based on a survey completed by the Group’s directors. The results of the survey, together with a series of meetings with the Executive Board, have been used to produce an Online Training Plan for the Group over the coming years. One of the plan’s goals is to create online content for different areas of the business, helping us to use training to promote high standards and to transmit knowledge and experience.
Over the coming years, online content will follow a continuous development process, helping the corporation provide training to improve and above all align our strategies across all areas of the business. The first step involved identifying a series of priority areas for the business, including production and sales. Our online platform will play a fundamental role in this project and we have already started developing the first corporate content. For example, in 2021, we incorporated Anti-Phishing training into our corporate programme in 2021.
We have also worked on the Roca Group Business System programme, which covers all management staff in the Group, offering training on our system for continuous improvement based on the Kaizen philosophy and culture. This programme has allowed us to develop a team-based content creation model involving an expert in Kaizen, RGCU as recipient of this knowledge and which has acted as a bridge with the content creation company. This model will be used internally for generating future content.
