The 7 habits of highly effective people

I had the chance to do the “The 7 habits of highly effective people” course with RGCU. Despite already being familiar with Franklin Covey, the course helped me to remember three important aspects to have in mind and implement in on a daily basis:

  • Having a clear purpose in our daily life, as well as clear objectives and a clear understanding of who we are and what makes us tick.
  • Distinguishing between what is important and what is urgent, which helps us to be structured and to plan and prioritise.
  • The importance of thinking win–win: we must always listen, seek to understand and strive to reach agreements that help us to grow together.

Putting these habits into practice can be both the easiest and hardest thing. We must stay focused at all times, reminding and prompting ourselves, as needed, to take the time and space required to find our centre. It is important to continue working on each of these routines because they are undoubtedly the keys to professionalism and personal growth.
